TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — It was emotional day in Tallahassee on Tuesday as 10 kids found their forever families.
For some of them, this process took years to complete, and many cried tears of joy now that the wait is finally over.
The Draper Family, who previously adopted three children, added two more Tuesday morning.
David Draper eagerly said, “Were just really happy that they’re going to have this stability at this point, and we’re just really happy to have them with us permanently. It’s always felt natural, we’ve loved them from the beginning and we’re just really happy it’s forever at this point.”
November is National Adoption Month. Right now there are over 20 children in Leon County awaiting adoption, and more than 800 available for adoption statewide.
