November was National Adoption Month, but that doesn’t mean forming forever homes came to end.
Adoption professionals and court employees came together Saturday to celebrate and finalize adoptions for more than 30 Iowa families.
“I think there is nothing more important that families coming together, and this is one of those days where we see that celebration,” Judge Rachel Seymour said.
More than 50 children were adopted, and smiles were on the court docket as mothers, fathers and children became families. For one family who added two sons, 60 people came to the courthouse to celebrate.
This marks the 17th annual Adoption Saturday.
