The TV couple, who have been together for three years since meeting on Channel 4’s The Jump, have split due to conflicting parenting ideas and Warren’s fast paced lifestyle.
TV presenter Melinda Messenger admitted that she questioned whether her marriage would work from the first week they moved in together saying: ‘What have I done?’
After meeting on the Channel 4 reality show, Melinda and Warren’s romance flourished as the ski instructor moved into Melinda’s mansion within weeks of the show ending.
But within a few more weeks of living together the 46-year-old TV host confessed that the pair argued over different parenting views in regards to her children Morgan, 17, Flynn, 15 and daughter Evie, 13 – from a previous marriage to Wayne Roberts.
Speaking to The Sun, Melinda revealed: ‘It soon became apparent we had different lives and different ideas about parenting.’
Ignoring her initial instincts, the pair went on to sell their separate homes and move in together to a luxury six-bedroom pad in Berkshire in July 2014.
The new move only created more doubts in Melinda’s head, with the star admitting: ‘In the first week I was like, “What have I done?” I was thinking, “Oh God, how is this ever going to work?”‘
She continued: ‘We began to clash on how to handle things and how we handled it as parents, how we dealt with it, how we responded.’
The former glamour model also blamed the 46-year-old’s fast-paced lifestyle for the troubles in her marriage, comparing it in contrast to the quiet family lifestyle that she desired.
After attempting marriage counselling in December 2016, Melinda and Warren split in March this year.
Looking forward to the future, Melinda says she has no regrets saying: ‘I’ve got my space and life back now, my family and friends around me, work and studies that I love, life is on a much more stable, happier path and for that I’m very grateful.’
