Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800. For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dogs killed Sept. 6 under the direction of Richard Stewart, director of the Lucas County Canine Care & Control:

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull” mix, brown and white male, licensed; bite history; surrendered Aug. 21 by Jeremy Tegtmeier, Hillsdale Avenue, Rossford.

American bulldog, white and brown male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (bite history); surrendered Aug. 27 by Carolyn Owens, Acoma Drive, Toledo.

American bulldog, white female, unlicensed; aggressive/​unsafe; stray taken to shelter Aug. 31 by Theresa Rhodes, Hoiles Avenue, Toledo, from the 3900 block of Hoiles Avenue, Toledo.

Maltese, white female, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (11 years old, cancer); surrendered Sept. 6 by Jasmine Ward, Maxwell Road, Toledo.

Boxer, black and white male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (10 years old, seizures); surrendered Sept. 6 by Dennis Crawford, Sierra Court, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” gray female; stray taken to shelter Aug. 6 by Timothy Shoemaker, Eton Road, Toledo, from Detroit and Delaware avenues, Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, white and brown female; surrendered July 25 by Brittany Tucker, Drouillard Road, Walbridge.

“Pit bull,” tan and white female; stray taken to shelter Aug. 15 by Brenda Golden, Oak Street, Rossford, from Cherry Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, black and white male; stray taken to shelter Aug. 25 by Carla Baucom, Upton Avenue, Toledo, from Upton and Fernwood avenues, Toledo.
