WICHITA, Kan. If your family is looking to add a new furry companion, the Kansas Humane Society is cutting adoption prices ahead of its biggest fundraiser of the year.
This Thursday, Friday and Saturday, adoption fees for adult dogs at the Humane Society will be 50 percent off. This also includes two free tickets to Woofstock if you give a dog from the KHS a forever home.
This year, Woofstock takes place Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sedgwick County Park.
“We have a lot of really great dogs here at the moment and we want to keep making Woofstock bigger and better every year,” says KHP Director of Marketing and Communications Ericka Goering. “So, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to get some animals in some forever homes and get some people some pets that they can take with them.”
